Anchoring the Key of Sea, John Kukla
With the start of another sailing season, and the prospects of spending some nights “on the
hook”, I thought I’d share our ground tackle set up and anchoring strategies aboard Key Of Sea.
Since we moved aboard Key of Sea we have been live-aboard cruising for over 475 nights, with
over 350 of those nights at anchor. We have only dragged once, and that was early on in a
documented poor holding area.
